Metroid Recon Version 4

Welcome back! I'm happy to finally unveil a massive project I've been working on for the past two years. For a long time I'd been meaning to give the site a fresh new look but just couldn't decide on what direction to take it... Well, after toiling away with a few designs, I finally broke through and settled on what you see before you now.

I've made some changes to the navigational structure of the site, starting with the main menu placed horizontally above the banner. Everything on the site can be reached from up there, and don't worry if the pop-up menus don't work in your browser, as you should instead be taken to a page with the sub-menus there. I've also reworked the following artwork galleries thanks to some hefty artwork donations from NeoGAF:

I have more plans for upgrades and additions to the site, and now that the new layout is done I can finally move forward on them.

We also now have a dedicated section for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U (I still can't think up a decent shorthand name for the game, SSB4 maybe?). For now it's home to screenshots, artwork and videos all focussing (naturally) on Samus and Zero Suit Samus. The 3DS release is mere months away now, so the Smash Bros. hype is in full swing.

Enjoy the new look!

  2. Normally I'm against changing webpage layouts, but this is all right. Very clean and easy on the eyes, unlike many other sites. And I admire your commitment to this site, and to us fellow Metroid fans.

Also, if you need any help with writing or copyediting, let me know and I'll be glad to help. :D

  4. Hey Falcon, why didn't you ever tell us you did this? I would have surely posted about it on our main site, to give it a little more publicity. You need to reach out to us more, dude. ;) Anyway congrats on it; it looks great.

  8. Since you gave it a visual overhaul, maybe consider changing some of the game guides a bit? (i.e. add E-tank and Missile Expansion guides for Metroid and Metroid II like you did for the others. It'd be really helpful for 100% runs.
