With all the attention on the Wii's release and next year's debut of Metroid Prime 3, let's not forget about the other Wii title Samus stars in, Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Check out our new coverage of the game, tipped off with screenshots and videos to whet your appetite. Enjoy!

Metroid Prime 3 primer preview

I've gathered together a selection of screenshots and videos (courtesy the ever-useful YouTube) from Metroid Prime 3. These early previews only give us a glimpse into what the game offers, so enjoy them with a grain of salt, stuff seen in the videos and pics could change in the final game. Swing by the Metroid Prime 3 section for the goods.

Quick behind-the-scenes update

Just a quick update on what's cooking in the boiler. I've made some changes to the news system to make it more generally robust and hardy for the future, you'll now find a News archive link sitting snugly in the Site Related menu. I'll also be working on some simple preview content for MP3, now with the Wii's presence on Earth we should start seeing more of this beauty.

A site forum's also in the works, I just need to set everything up in the back end and pretty-up the front end to get things rolling on every end, then we should be set for the road ahead.

Super Metroid headed to Wii's Virtual Console

Thursday, 9 November 2006 at 08:46 GMT

Finally, you won't need to break out the old SNES for a round of Super Metroid. Joystiq reports another batch of Virtual Console titles headed for the Wii recently passed the ratings board - Super Metroid included. That makes four playable Metroid titles for the Wii by the time MP3 graces the new console (five if the original Metroid joins the lineup) - that little white box's launch in just over a week couldn't come sooner.

Metroid Recon lands

Welcome to Samus' latest stomping ground! Thanks to the generous hosting from the fellas at GameSpy, I'm happy to introduce the web's latest site covering all things Metroid.

You might be wondering where all our inital content comes from, here's a quick lowdown: years back I'd begun writing up plain text walkthroughs for the classic series hosted at GameFaqs and the Metroid Database. Since the series tripled in size in just a few years, fan's interests in the series grew just as much. So I figured now's a better time than ever to gear up a site to offer interactive guides with far better navigation than what trawling through text files could offer. So here we are, on the verge of Nintendo's launch of the Wii and mere months from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption's debut.

Take a look around, there's plenty for you to see already. So far we have full guide coverage for the classic series and Metroid Prime, while I slowly play catchup with the rest of the Prime series. Enjoy your stay and I hope you find something useful, as there's plenty more to come. Feel free to let me know what you think of the site, or if you have any ideas on what we could offer down the road to grow as a community. Enjoy!
