A short but sweet update arrives in the realm of fan fiction today with three new pieces from Fyrwolf. Be sure to check out an updated version of A Hunter's Tale, along with Birth and Merchandise. If you're a fan of Metroid Prime Hunters you'll be in for a treat as all three offer excellent narratives based around Samus' rivals.

A very welcome site addition arrives today. Recently I've started a handy Metroid video collaboration with Capcom of the Metroid Database, and naturally YouTube was the best home for it. Right now feel free to drop by our YouTube video channel, it's already packed with videos from all across the Metroid series. We've worked hard to set up plenty of trailers and commercials, so be sure to swing by and take a look.

But with the flexibility of YouTube's streaming videos, I've setup our own local video galleries right here - including direct downloadable versions of the videos for those of you who prefer superior video quality. Naturally they're all hosted on FilePlanet, so you'll need to sign up for a free account to access them. So far the following games now have proper video galleries:

Also be sure to check out the videos below for a pair of amazing fan-made projects aspiring to bring the world of Metroid II's SR388 to vibrant life. The first - Metroid: SR388, is one heck of a remake, and must truly be seen to be believed (check out the Metroid Database for plenty more coverage and a downloadable version of the trailer). Secondly, Project AM2R aims to remake Metroid II using art assets from Super Metroid and Zero Mission, and looks an absolute treat so far.
