Recently a Nintendo Media Summit in Japan revealed the next generation of Nintendo DS - the DSi - along with a pile of other announcements. While Samus' future sadly once again remained in the dark, there was a curious announcement of the Wii De Asobu Selection - a group of GameCube games making the jump to Wii with a complete set of revised controls for the Wii Remote. As you might guess, both Metroid Prime 1 and 2 look to be among the group and are set to arrive in Japan early next year.
This is great news for both new fans of Metroid Prime 3's Wii Remote goodness and those of us with fond memories of the good old GameCube controller. No details of when we can expect this lineup around the rest of the world, but it shouldn't be too far off the Japanese launch.
