Were you a tad worried that only Japan might receive the upcoming ports of Metroid Prime 1 and 2 on Wii? No need now!

Metroid Prime Trilogy

Nintendo have just announced the Metroid Prime Trilogy - a complete compilation of all three Prime games on one disc. The collection is set to launch in the US on August 24, 2009 for a bargain price of $49.99. Just like Japan's Wii De Asobu line, Prime 1 and 2 will have all the fancy new control features and a few new surprises. Drop by Kotaku and 1UP for a pair of impressions. No word yet if other regions around the world can expect a similar release, but I'm sure there'd be eager fans waiting for this the world over.

Images galore! I've finished working through all the walkthroughs on the site to give them a set of images to accompany each chapter (that's almost 700 images across all the games!), while there might also be a few other fixes and updates here and there - need to keep busy during these quiet times.

The Metroid Database has also been picking up news of latest fan works, from a fantastic set of stylised Metroid fan art to an interview with Samus Aran herself! (almost) Check them out!
