Infinity's End from the Metroid Database writes in to inform us of the MDb's second Metroid-themed contest - the Design-An-Enemy Contest! This event asks contestants to design an original and unique adversary in the Metroid universe, with some great prizes on offer. Unfortunately it's only open to US residents, but should still be a blast for anyone eligible to enter. Get involved if you can!
In other news, Meta_Ridley89 also writes in to let us know of their recently completed YouTube video walkthrough of Metroid: Other M. Fellow YouTuber Capoland has also been hard at work with his own walkthrouh, so be sure to check them both out if you need help or enjoy taking a squiz at full video walkthroughs. ShadowMario3 is another channel worth checking out - their interesting blind walkthrough of Other M is a twist you don't see everyday.
I'm already deep into working on our own traditional walkthrough for Other M, so rest assured it's coming along nicely. Please be patient as it may not be ready until late this year or early next year.
Finally, Angry Sun of NintendoLand informs us of the opening of their Deathmatch Arena, a sort of character-based tournament for Nintendo's mascot characters. Let's hope some familiar faces from Samus' world turn up!
Falcool from Zelda Eternity sends word that this Friday (October 8) at 11pm GMT, a new live Metroid marathon will take place. Metroid: Other M, Smash Bros. Brawl and a few other games will be played, depending on viewership and donations. All money raised will be dontated to AFC for the Pakistan flood relief efforts, so be sure to swing by and get involved if you can!
