All manner of weaponry and suit upgrades await Samus, strewn across five huge worlds. This time she'll have the Morph Ball, Morph Ball Bomb, Spring Ball and Space Jump Boots right from the start, so expect to see new upgrades to feature among her classic abilities.
Thanks to the Wii Remote and Nunchuck's motion-sensing capabilites, some upgrades such as the Grapple Beam will see plenty more action and utilisation. Be sure to check your inventory screen upon scoring any new item to read about its maximum potential.
With Samus' eventual Phazon corruption and the rollout of her new PED Suit, plenty of Phazon-powered Hypermode weaponry awaits her. All making use of her standard attack forms, few in battle can match the devastation from the very substance the Federation is struggling against.
Use the following guides to learn where and how to find every item in the game, ranging from Samus' upgrades to Energy Cells needed to access deeper regions of the GFS Valhalla. Beware of spoilers throughout, and bear in mind that the suggested order for the retrieval of most items isn't mandatory, as there's plenty of ways to go about treasure hunting. The handy humming sound when in close proximity to an item is ever-present, so keep your ears open for the auditory clue.
Note: Every item is linked to the walkthrough and vice versa (at the point where you come across specific items), so that you can easily navigate your way back and forth.
|Further in the game you'll discover an elaborate observatory in the heart of SkyTown East. Here the Elysians tell through their Lore entries of a Chozo observer who watched the skies for trouble while attempting to seek the source of Phazon.
The remaining equipment left behind can certainly aid you in your travels. Upon reactivating the main holoprojector and selecting a planetary target, a satellite will launch and grant your map the locations of all items on a specific world (objects yet to be picked up are indicated by a large white dot, while secured items appear as a white X).
Reactivate the main holoprojector first by returning here upon upgrading Samus' gunship with the Ship Grapple. Command your ship to raise the main housing of the holoprojector, then step inside and repair the damaged circuit panel with your Plasma Beam. Restore the projector's housing and lay a Bomb inside the Bomb Slot nearby to power up the device.
With the holoprojector online, see all those Bomb Slots lining the chamber? While facing the satellite launcher, activate the Bomb Slots on the left side to receive item locations for SkyTown, Norion and Bryyo (you'll need the Spider Ball to reach the SkyTown slot). For the Pirate Homeworld data, return here upon securing the Nova Beam and look for a small Phazite panel at the base of the holoprojector. Switch on the X-Ray Visor and shoot the switch, a panel will slide open on the holoprojector's housing to reveal a terminal inside. Activate the terminal to launch a satellite and receive Pirate Homeworld data.
The only region of the game you can't reveal item locations for is the GFS Valhalla.
